The Imbler Halloween Run-A-Thon was a big success! Led by Heather Howard, Imbler’s Cross Country Coach, Imbler K-12 students, staff & parents came out to walk or run on the gravel track for the last 45 minutes of the school day. Many were sporting fun wigs and Imbler colors on this beautiful fall day. Music was blasting out of the speakers on the crow’s nest and people in mixed age groups chatted, walked, and even danced their way around the track. Others ran the whole time, weaving in and out of the traffic. The boys high school cross country team, bound for the OSAA State Championships this weekend, joined in and got to count it as their practice for the day!
In total we had 61 families set up campaigns with 99 individuals collecting donations. We surpassed our goal of $10,000 by collecting a TOTAL OF $12,462! (We are still working on inputting all of the pledges online, so the thermometer below is not up to date.) Here are some fun fundraising stats: 10 families each raised $300 or more. Of those, half were over $500, with three of those being in the $700+ range. Our top fundraiser was a 2nd grader who ran 13 laps and had pledges totaling over $70/lap. She single handedly brought in $940. Awesome job families!
