The Imbler School’s current gravel track functionality has become limiting for our track and field competitors. As the school has grown, the need for a better facility has become increasingly apparent. During the 2023 track season, 69% of 6th-12th grade students participated on the track & field team! Our goal is to replace the current gravel track with an 8-lane rubberized track and construct new field event facilities with field lighting at Imbler High School. The new surface will allow students to have an appropriate facility for practices without having to bus several miles to neighboring schools. This improvement will increase safety for runners and allow for hosting home track meets, including twilight meets and evening football games. The track will not only be used by Imbler track athletes, but also by all K-12 Imbler students during physical education classes and recess times. The track will be open to the community to use for exercise and wellness.
