No More Shin Splints – Imbler Begins Fundraising for a New School Track

The Imbler Track Committee is fundraising to replace the school’s outdated dirt track with a standard composite material track. The need for a new track is driven by the desire to host track meets and ensure student-athlete health, as running on the rough ground causes shin splints. The proposed track will benefit not only high school track students but also junior high teams, P.E. classes, and community members. Fundraising efforts have begun, including a 4th of July fun run, raising over thirteen thousand dollars with a matching grant from CB Construction. There is no finalized timeline for construction, but the committee is working on detailed plans.
